Utah pest control CEU requirements
How many CEUs does Utah require for pest control licence renewal?
It depends which licence you hold — Utah sets a different obligation for each tier, and they are not even measured the same way. Commercial pesticide applicator owe 24 ceu credits during the licence period, or re-sit core and category tests at 70%; Commercial pesticide business (qualifying party) owe re-take the business test every three years; Ornamental and Turf Technician Permit owe limited permit for general-use herbicides only — not full applicator privileges. There is no single pooled number, which is the most common reason somebody arrives at renewal short.

- Exam structure
- Pay the licence fee to UDAF first, then sit proctored tests at a department-approved testing centre (fees set by the centre). Core test at 70% minimum before any category test may be attempted; at least one category at 70% before a licence issues. Two failures means a 24-hour wait and retest fees. A 30-day temporary permit issues by email after passing core plus a category. Category 7 excludes fumigation (13) and wood destroying organisms (15) — termite work needs category 15. UDAF does not test in Spanish.
