Wyoming pest control CEU requirements

Quick answerVerified October 1, 2026

How many CEUs does Wyoming require for pest control licence renewal?

It depends which licence you hold — Wyoming sets a different obligation for each tier, and they are not even measured the same way. Commercial applicator owe 24 hours of wda-approved continuing education during the licence term, or re-test at 70% in all categories; Apprentice commercial applicator owe department-approved education course or wps handler training within the last 12 months (or a licence in an unrelated category). There is no single pooled number, which is the most common reason somebody arrives at renewal short.

Exam structure
Core/general exam plus at least one category or subcategory, each at 70% minimum, at a WDA-specified location (Cheyenne office or a designated proctor). Core plus a category must be passed within 90 days of the first attempt or the core is retaken. After two failures, proof of an education course before a third attempt; escalating waits after that (45 days, then a UW PSEP new-applicator course or one year). Licensed applicators can add categories at no cost by passing the category exam; it does not change the licence expiry.
