Connecticut pest control licence requirements

Quick answerVerified October 1, 2026

How do you get a pest control licence in Connecticut?

Connecticut applicator licences are issued by Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) — Pesticide Management Program. Requirements are set per category rather than as a single general licence, so the exam you sit and the hours you carry depend on which categories you intend to work. Details below are published only once verified against the agency.

Reciprocity
Agreements
DEEP accepts continuing education credits approved by another state for the matching category. For reciprocal certification itself, confirm with DEEP (860-424-3369).
Reciprocity is the most commonly misunderstood part of moving states. We publish only agreements confirmed by the agency, never inferred ones.
