Mississippi pest control licence requirements
How do you get a pest control licence in Mississippi?
Mississippi applicator licences are issued by Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce (MDAC) — Bureau of Plant Industry. Requirements are set per category rather than as a single general licence, so the exam you sit and the hours you carry depend on which categories you intend to work. Details below are published only once verified against the agency.

- Exam structure
- Operator Licence and Permit applicants pass a written exam covering the EPA general standards (40 CFR 171.103) plus a separate exam for each professional services category; 70% to pass. Paper exams at Mississippi State on the second Tuesday of January, April, July and October; computer-based exams at proctored centres (Metro Institute, $55 admin fee per test). Operator Licence for WDIL, GRCL or FUML needs a qualifying degree/college training, or a high-school diploma plus 4 years with a licensed operator in the past 6.
