Nebraska pest control licence requirements
How do you get a pest control licence in Nebraska?
Nebraska applicator licences are issued by Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) — Pesticide Program. Requirements are set per category rather than as a single general licence, so the exam you sit and the hours you carry depend on which categories you intend to work. Details below are published only once verified against the agency.

- Issuing agency
- Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) — Pesticide Program
- Exam structure
- A general standards exam plus at least one category exam; 70% minimum to pass. Tests are run by the NDA. Study materials come from University of Nebraska Extension. Anyone applying general-use structural or lawn-care pesticides for hire must be certified and licensed — not just RUP users.
- Application fee
- $90
- Cycle length
- 36 months
- Agreements
- NDA accepts reciprocal commercial applicator applications, with a category crosswalk listing Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming. Colorado Certified Operator and Kansas Registered Technician licences do not qualify.
Reciprocity is the most commonly misunderstood part of moving states. We publish only agreements confirmed by the agency, never inferred ones.
