New Hampshire pest control licence requirements

Quick answerVerified October 1, 2026

How do you get a pest control licence in New Hampshire?

New Hampshire applicator licences are issued by New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, Markets and Food — Division of Pesticide Control. Requirements are set per category rather than as a single general licence, so the exam you sit and the hours you carry depend on which categories you intend to work. Details below are published only once verified against the agency.

Reciprocity
Agreements
NH accepts recertification credit from seminars approved by other states' lead pesticide agencies (Pes 402.01(t)). For licensing reciprocity, confirm with the NH Division of Pesticide Control.
Reciprocity is the most commonly misunderstood part of moving states. We publish only agreements confirmed by the agency, never inferred ones.
